Terms & Conditions
1. Enrolment & Booking
All classes must be booked in advance through our website or by email. Bookings are confirmed once full registration and payment have been received. A parent or legal guardian must complete the registration. Bookings made by extended family members or friends cannot be accepted. If you’re unsure of your child’s swim level, you may book a free trial or contact us for guidance before enrolling.
2. Payments
All payments must be made by purchasing a block of lessons in advance of attending lessons. Payment confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, except in the cases outlined in Section 4.
3. Lesson Renewal & Continuation
Place Guarantee: Your child's place in the lesson is only guaranteed for the duration of the current paid block of lessons.
Renewal Responsibility: It is the customer's sole responsibility to ensure a new block of lessons is purchased prior to the expiry of the current block. Automatic renewal is not provided.
Forfeiture and Re-booking:
- If a new block of lessons is not purchased before the final lesson in the current block is attended, the child's place will be automatically forfeited and immediately released for booking by other customers.
- No child will be permitted to attend any lesson without a valid, pre-paid block of lessons. Payment for any new block must be made in full prior to the commencement of the first lesson in that block.
4. Missed Lessons & Illness
We do not offer make-up classes for missed lessons. Credits will only be issued if your child is unable to attend due to illness or injury and you provide a valid doctor’s note. Credits are applied to your account and can be used toward future lessons. Credits will not be issued for absences due to holidays, scheduling conflicts, or short-term illness without medical documentation.
5. Trial Sessions
A free trial is available for new swimmers. These must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
6. Supervision & Conduct
Children remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian before and after their lesson. Parents must supervise children in changing areas and shared facilities. Only swimmers may enter the pool area. Parents are not permitted in the water during lessons. Viewing areas may be available at some locations. Please follow facility guidelines regarding access and observation.
7. Health, Safety & Additional Needs
Parents must disclose any relevant medical conditions, additional needs, or behavioural considerations when registering. If a child requires additional support, we will assess what accommodations can reasonably be made to ensure safety and a positive learning environment.
8. Pool Closures & Programme Disruptions
If a class is cancelled due to pool maintenance, staffing issues, or other unforeseen circumstances, a credit will be applied to your account. In the event of cancellations due to external factors (e.g. weather alerts, facility closures, public health restrictions), the same policy applies.
9. Photography & Video
Photography or video recording is strictly prohibited in the pool area. We do not record or store footage of lessons unless we have specific written consent from parents or guardians.
10. Liability & Risk
Participation in swim lessons is at your own risk. We do not accept responsibility for loss, damage, or injury except where directly caused by proven negligence on our part. Please leave valuables at home, as we cannot take responsibility for lost or stolen items.
11. Behaviour & Dismissal
We reserve the right to remove a swimmer from lessons if their behaviour consistently disrupts the class or puts others at risk. No refund or credit will be issued in cases of dismissal for behavioural reasons. Families must follow all rules of the swim school and the facilities we operate in.
12. Feedback & Contact
We welcome questions or feedback at any time. Please email us at swim@leisuretraining.ie.
